“For the Care and Rescue of Uganda’s Orphans”

ABOUT US

  Founding
Founded in 2002 by Duncan Hill, The Uganda Orphans Fund is dedicated to the care and shelter of Ugandan orphans, most of which find themselves in this state through AIDS having taken the lives of their parents. The basic motivation for it was, and remains, LOVE.  We currently have completed projects in 12 Ugandan districts.

Vision
UOF often seeks to partner with other ministries in the USA, Uganda, and other countries to best meet the needs of these children. We carefully assess the specific needs in each home to determine the most pressing issues. If we do not feel we can adequately meet a certain need, we recruit the assistance of other organizations specializing in that given area. Our goal is simple and straightforward: to continue building orphan homes and provide care for these needy Ugandan children as long as it takes to see them all housed and provided for.

Partners
We seek to collaborate with like-hearted Ugandan churches and organizations, in the construction of orphan housing on their properties.  We provide finances for the materials, help arrange long-term support, and are building up community centers so these precious kids can grow up in a healthier environment with other basic needs being met.

Non-Profit Status
We are a non-profit ministry. Over 90% of every contribution goes directly to the orphans of Uganda. In the U.S., we are established as a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt charitable corporation. In the Republic of Uganda, we are recognized as a Foreign NGO (non-government organization).
